Family Development Lab has been conducting numerous research focusing on the dynamics of family relations according to the life course. The life course perspective seeks to analyze the development of an individual and the family, not only at the individual-level, but also from multiple dimensions to consider the societal and historical contexts.
From life course perspective, the Family Development Lab explores family issues across the board, such as divorced and remarried families, family violence and youth violence, and families during the old age. We are also interested in exploring the interaction between family and social systems and conduct research in the areas of father’s role, work-family conflict, and retirement.
