Undergraduate Curriculum

Our undergraduate curriculum includes five tracks: (1) developmental studies, (2) content development, (3) counseling and intervention, (4) public policy, and (5) research and data analysis.

  • Courses in the Developmental Studies track help students understand healthy human development and family relationships based on the latest research and theories that explain human development and intimacy over the life span.
  • In the Content Development track, students learn how to develop creative and effective content that can be applied to children and families by acquiring specialized knowledge and teaching strategies.
  • Courses in the Counseling and Intervention track are designed to help students understand developmental and relational challenges for children and families and learn theories and practical intervention approaches (e.g., counseling, therapy, education) for children and families.
  • In the Public Policy track, students learn about public policy processes and legislation related to children and families in Korea and across the globe and analyze specific policy cases.
  • Courses in the Research and Data Analysis track teach students how to collect, analyze, and interpret different types of data and how to write research papers and technical reports that can contribute to healthy development and relationships for children and families.
